About Nara Muniz

For more than 30 years, Dr. Muniz work has centered on education, empowerment, and social change — from teaching in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro to leading classrooms and social programs in San Diego to earning her PhD researching overlooked African intellectuals. Today, she helps minoritized professionals and the organizations that support them move beyond self-doubt and lead without pretending to be someone they're not. She is a RISE Urban Leadership Fellow and a recent graduate of the SDCCE Business Accelerator by Program Labs.
