Danetta Jackson serves as the Statewide Supplier Diversity Program Chief within the California Department of General Services (DGS) Procurement Division (PD), playing a vital role on the executive team. Her focus is on spearheading the development and implementation of strategic statewide objectives, underpinned by data-driven initiatives, to propel equity within state contracting.

 

Ms. Jackson previously held the position of the state's Business Outreach Program Manager for an impressive 13 years. In this capacity, she demonstrated expertise in overseeing outreach engagement strategies, cultivating external partnerships, managing communications, ensuring compliance with state contracting goals, and leading the department's Small Business Advisory Council.

 

Ms. Jackson is recognized for her ability to foster economic impact through collaborative efforts. She leads and facilitates the Government Operations Agency Minority-Owned Small Business Task Force, guiding initiatives that contribute to a more inclusive business landscape.

 

Ms. Jackson's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from CSU, Sacramento. Committed to continuous learning and professional development, she has completed coursework in Management and Executive Leadership Programs at CSU, Sacramento. Furthermore, she holds a DGS Procurement and Contracting Executive Certificate and has undergone various training programs focusing on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (DEIA).

 

Beyond her professional commitments, Danetta Jackson is an active member of the Sacramento Valley Section of the National Council of Negro Women. In this capacity, she passionately advocates for the African American community, addressing critical issues such as civic engagement, education, health, sound public policy, and social justice. Her multifaceted contributions reflect a dedication to both professional excellence and community impact.
